Hardback. Condición: Very good. 25 x 32cm 413pp very good hardback exhibition catalogue with a dust jacket. The first US artist to win the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale in 1963, Robert Rauschenberg (1925-2008) blazed a new trail for art in the second half of the twentieth century. Bringing together a selection of key works…from different periods, the book will provide a long overdue opportunity to discover a remarkably consistent artistic trajectory which steadfastly refused to be straight-jacketed by rules and conventions. Each chapter of Rauschenberg's six-decade career will be represented by major works.Introduced by Leah Dickerman, this book collects fourteen essays focusing on key moments in Rauschenberg's oeuvre. With personal and touching contributions by those who knew him, this richly illustrated publication is an essential reference to one of the most compelling and unique voices in twentieth-century art, as well as a significant contribution to the field of international modernism.A very heavy book, may need extra postage.

Hardcover. Condición: Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fine. Black hardcover with title in black on front cover and spine. Condition: Fine, binding sound, no inscriptions. Dustjacket condition: Fine. 414pp. Many colour illustrations. This book was published to accompany the exhibition of work by the American artist Robert Rausc…henberg (1925-2008) held at the Tate Modern, London from 1 Dec 2016 to 2 April 2017. The exhibition then toured to the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. It was the first full-scale retrospective since the artists death in 2008. Rauschenberg challenged the primacy of painting and invented new forms of art-making that moved freely among media and methods. He refused to accept conventional boundaries, defining the themes of his art as multiplicity, variety and inclusion. This comprehensive book includes sixteen short essays focusing on specific moments in the artist's career, examining his production across and extraordinary range of media.
