Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Near Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First Edition (Number Line to 1). 'A Millbrook Press Library Edition.' Like the few other copies for sale this book has a white strip library binding. However, it very clearly never set foot in a library, has no kind of library markings and, unlike all of the other copies for sale, has its dust jacket. Moreover, both the book and the dust jacket are in excellent condition. You can see the black covers of the book in the photos. They are exceptionally clean. The lettering on the spine is nicely bright. The cover edges are in excellent condition, no rubbing. The corners are in excellent condition, no rubbing. The spine ends are free of any wrinkling or crinkling. The only slight imperfection is some freckled spotting on the top page edge. However, none of it appears to have migrated onto the actual pages. Except for one speck of a spot the middle page edge is perfectly clean, and the bottom of page edge is perfectly clean. The inside covers and end papers are gray. They are perfectly clean and in excellent condition. The interior of the book looks terrific. The pages are, again, all perfectly clean. I'm not seeing any creasing. There are no markings. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. There are a great many photographs. They are all in excellent condition. The book is very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages and nicely tight covers as well. The dust jacket is also in excellent condition. I don't see any soiling. There are no tears. No conspicuous creasing or crinkling. The flaps are very clean, no wear. The jacket is not priced or clipped. It will be fitted with a protective cover after the photos are scanned. From the dust jacket: 'What has prompted Americans to organize themselves around this violent racist philosophy? In exploring the answer to this and other questions, Elaine Landau investigates the history of racism in the United States, beginning with the Ku Klux Klan. She traces the development of white power groups throughout the 1980s and early 1990s. She offers compelling accounts of their actions and of the ways in which some members of the white power world, most notably David Duke, have sanitized racism in a chilling attempt to appeal to mainstream America.'.
