It uses a series of fictional anecdotes and speeches mocking prominent politicians. These humorous attacks are positioned within the political context of the British Regency era and explore the broader themes of opportunism and corruption in government. The author provides a humorous exposà of incompetence, vanity, and greed among 'Tory' politicians. The result is a savage, witty, and entertaining satire of its targets, exposing their posturing, hypocrisy, and self-seeking aims, and demonstrating that their actions brought the Tory party into disrepute. This book is a valuable resource for those interested in the social and political dynamics of the era.
