Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the topics of scriptural and traditional sources of authority within the Christian Church. The author contends that the Christian Church has been entrusted with a sacred deposit of truth, comprised of both written scripture and the unwritten traditions of apostolic teaching, which must be faithfully preserved and transmitted across generations. This view is set within a wider exploration of the challenges and questions facing the church in the face of change and doctrinal debate, particularly in England at the time of writing. The author argues that, despite these challenges, the fundamental responsibility of the clergy is to guard and uphold the core truths of the deposit, emphasizing the importance of both scripture and tradition in preserving the integrity of Christian doctrine. The book's historical and theological insights shed light on the interrelationship between scripture and tradition and provide a framework for understanding their significance for the Church and the Christian faith as a whole. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
