It chronicles the early days of international long-range rifle shooting in America, beginning with the historic 1874 Irish-American match at Creedmoor, Long Island. The author vividly captures the atmosphere of these matches, from the tense anticipation before each shot to the thunderous roar of the crowd upon a bullseye.
