The author illustrates how various geographical conditions, such as latitude or the influence of rivers and mountains, impact the suitability of land for specific crops. One chapter examines how the composition of rocks and soilâ"whether clay, sandstone, or limestoneâ"affects a soil's fertility and cultivation requirements. The author also delves into the historical and economic significance of these relationships.
