Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book documents the proceedings of the third International Seed Testing Conference held in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1921. The conference marked the culmination of efforts by international seed scientists and agricultural experts to standardize seed testing methods and promote cooperation among seed control stations worldwide. The delegates, representing various countries, discussed a range of topics, including the determination of seed purity and germination, the establishment of international standards, and the training of seed testing personnel. The book provides valuable insights into the historical development of seed testing practices and the challenges faced by the early pioneers in this field. It also highlights the importance of international collaboration in ensuring the quality and reliability of seed supplies, which is essential for sustainable agriculture and food security. The initiatives and discussions documented in this book laid the foundation for the establishment of international seed testing organizations and the development of harmonized seed testing protocols, which continue to play a crucial role in global seed trade and agriculture today.
