The first play, "David and Bethsabe," tells the story of King David's affair with Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah the Hittite. The play explores the themes of sin, repentance, and forgiveness. The second play, "The Love of King David and Fair Bethsabe," tells the story of King David's son, Absalom, who rebelled against his father. The play explores the themes of ambition, betrayal, and the consequences of sin. Both plays are written in a highly stylized and poetic language, and they offer a fascinating glimpse into the religious and moral values of the Elizabethan era.
