Paperback. Condición: Very Good. 'Even before a missionary takes his or her first step in the land to which God has sent him, the most difficult hurdles have already been scaled.' These were the words the missionary speaker had said at Keswick Campgrounds almost a year before. At the time I could only vaguely guess at the nature of those hurdles. Now, I knew exactly what those hurdles meant, felt like, and required. My means of supporting myself and my children was now on hold, future status: unknown. The boys were leaving opportunities that only the United States could give them. What if they got sick? What if they hated the place and wanted to come home? Could we? In Here Am I, Lord. Please Send Someone Else Cynthia Allan tells of her struggle to follow God's leading. Divorced at a young age with two young sons, her story blends humor and poignancy as she forges ahead with an uncertain hope in God's presence. But when God's finger points to a jungle mission field, pure panic ensues Rather than joyfully accepting His call, she tries to run as Jonah did. However a year later she finds herself living with her sons in a tiny hut on stilts in Ahuas, Honduras, 250 miles from any form of modern convenience, teaching in a one room schoolhouse for Mission Aviation Fellowship. Serving for a year in that remote village, the author rediscovers her trust in God, and it's not long before she and her two sons return to Central America. The next three years in a mission school in Guatemala City continue her lessons in trust. Discover the valuable lessons God teaches when you follow Him-ready or not.…
