Soft cover. Condición: Very Good. Third Printing (so stated). Signed, inscribed and dated on the title page as follows: "12/29/98/The author of/ The Life and Times of a Country Doctor/is pleased to share this copy of/the story of my life with new/friend _____ _______at the Christmas dinner and party at the/home of _____ & _____ _______/ May she and her loved ones of/all generations enjoy the abundant/blessings of God both in 'the here'/ and in 'the hereafter'/In his Love,/Jim Albrecht/". In addition on the next page the author has flat signed his name and added a comma plus MD, and finally on a book marker he has signed Jim above James Albrecht, M. D. which is included with the book. So actually we have three signatures from the good Doctor. Unfortunately, Dr. Albrecht passed away in 2001. During his life practice he spanned the era of the country doctor who made house calls carrying most of his medications and surgical instruments in a small black bag to today's era of modern medicine with its vast lists of pharmacologic miracles and dazzing array of computerized equipment. On the last page of the book it appears a sticker of some kind was removed and we have some sort of a ghost left. 269 pages, a foreword and prologue and 33 chapters plus a epilogue. In the interior of the book an inspection finds no underlining, no highlighting, no bookplates, not ex-libris, no remainder marks, no folded or dogeared pages. A very nice, three times author signed, copy. Signed By the Author.
