Soft cover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Pictorial soft covers. 2nd Edition. When McGowen Gradon wrote this book over fifty years ago, the line of the Cleator & Workington Junction Railway was more or less as it had been built 70 years earlier. Only a few sections had been lost, and although the sparse passe…nger service had disappeared in the early 1930s, the line still fulfilled at least some part of its original purpose - to serve the transport needs of the coal, iron and steel industries of West Cumberland. There is a publishers label on the inside of the front cover which states " There is a line missing in the sentence running over the pages 15 and 20 of this book and it goes on to say what the corrected sentence should be, it also states there is a wrong caption on the lower photograph on page 27, and tells you what the corrected one should be. There is also a small crease across the front lower corner.
