Minor bumping to spine ends of red boards, but otherwise a good clean tight copy of this not-very-common slim hard-cover book. The author's memories of serving with 1 Commando during WW2, seeing action in North Africa and (mostly) in Burma, finishing the War as Sergeant with a Military Medal. 127pp, 8pp b&w illustrations, 7 maps. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

A couple of trivial knocks on the edges of the boards which are still square at all corners. Light shelf/handling wear on the jacket. A 2 mm tears at the base of the front panel of the jacket by the spine has been neatly repaired. Mailed the same or next working day in a cardboard book box.
