Hardcover. Condición: Near Fine. Illustrated Edition. Orthopaedic Trauma Protocols. Edited by Sigvard T. Hansen, Jr., M.D., and Marc F. Swiontkowski, M.D. New York: Raven Press, 1993. First Printing. Hardcover. 393 pp. ISBN 9780881679946 / 0881679941. First printing of this specialized reference on the treatment and management of orthopedic trauma. The volume presents detailed protocols for surgical treatment, perioperative management, and rehabilitation of patients with severe musculoskeletal injuries. Edited by Sigvard T. Hansen, Jr. and Marc F. Swiontkowski, it is an important period reference for orthopedic surgeons, trauma physicians, residents, medical historians, and institutional libraries. This copy bears a blind embossed "Harborview Medical Center" ownership mark on the front cover, an appealing piece of institutional provenance from a prominent Seattle trauma center. Harborview's orthopedic trauma service treats fractures, associated soft-tissue injuries, and complex skeletal realignment and stabilization. Condition: Near Fine, with one exception: the upper-right corner of the front free endpaper has been neatly clipped, apparently to remove a previous owner's name. "Harborview Medical Center" is blind embossed on the front cover. Otherwise a clean, tight, well-preserved copy with minimal handling wear. Please review photographs for the exact copy offered, the embossed mark, clipped endpaper corner, binding, and all condition details. Kate Sweeney (ilustrador).…
