He believes that Simms, better known…as a novelist today, is a greatly neglected Romantic poet in the school of figures like Coleridge and Keats. His few widely anthologized poems are actually some of his inferior work, as Simms believed and with which Kibler totally agrees. Note: few of the poems actually appear in this lengthy book, although most can be read online now. This is instead a very intense bibliographical work. Heavy, so extra freight if going outside the US. Green board with silver lettering on spine. No dust jacket was produced. Very light foxing around outside of book or never-sold copy would be considered New. 478 pp.
