The Distant Echoes Series is the direct result of these years of effort and exploration.I have a deep admiration for traditional Chinese ink painting: it has an inner purity and luminosity thatshines like hidden gold. It moves and stimulates me. I am also attracted by the boldness and unexpectednessof contemporary art. In my work, I have tried to incorporate qualities of both.
