The edges of the covers and spine are gently bumped and faded. There is a black remainder mark on the bottom edge of the text block. The dust jacket is in very good condition. Subtly yellowed. The edges are lightly chipped and rubbed, and have a couple of short closed tears. Price-clipped. Kitkitdizze is Snyder's homestead in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada (it's the Miwok name for a low evergreen shrub in the rose family found on the Western side of the Sierras, also known as mountain misery or bear clover), which makes this an attractive copy. This is Snyder's second book of prose, collected talks and interviews--philosophy, too. John Wright isn't readily pinned down, but there is a John Wright who conducted interviews with poets Edward Dorn and Norman Fischer, both of which mention Gary Snyder, so he was probably in the scene. Very good in blue-green cloth with sunning to board edges, namely the top edges, and to spine ends. In a near fine jacket with a little toning to edges and very light creasing to spine crown.
