Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. A new impression of the book first published in 1911 by Williams and Norgate, London. Introduction and new plates by L.T.C Rolt. In the early years of the 20th century the canals of England were an unknown territory . The pioneers of writing about them were Aubertin, Black, Bonthron, Neal and Temple Thurston. Temple Thurston was a professional author and his book has a polish and artistry.Secondhand copies of the original work are now hard to find. In the 1960s there was a resurgence of interest in canals and L.T.C. Rolt justifiably wanted to promote this minor classic. Dedicated to 'Bellwattle' from Cruickshank' in 1911.[from Temple Thurston's Patchwork Papers stories] Beautifully illustrated with line drawings and photographs from Temple Thurston's own album. 2441 short chapters. 4pp.22cm x 14cmVery Good in very sl rubbed pictorial dustwrapper.
