A glossy ex-lib hardcover in purple paper covered boards with nice Victor Ambrus rearing grey horse art on frt cover. Spine ends bumped with a piece of missing coating from foot of frt gutter from removed library call tag (front only, doesn't show on the backstrip) , edge of page block lightly foxed. No name, no tears and negligible handling soil on one page in the 160pp text. Was it a ghost, the grey shape galloping in the mist that Ken first caught sight of one evening at sunset on the mountains of Vermont? But the horse was real enough, only a badly frightened animal which had run away to the hills to escape ill-treatment. Slowly and patiently Ken began to train him, gradually coaxing him back from his wildness. Once feared as dangerous, Snow Cloud became a hero one snowy, stormy night.
