It was in 1948 that Kauzmann's classic review of liquid supercooling and glass formation drew attention to temperatures at which entropies and enthalpies of liquid and crystal phases would appear to become equal. The collection of such "Kauzmann temperatures" produced characteristic curves in the temperature-pressure (T, p) plane.
