This book popularizes Dr. Ricord's revolutionary treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and seminal diseases, conditions that were widely misunderstood during the mid-nineteenth century. For centuries, mercury was believed to be the only treatment for syphilis, but the author argues that Ricord's method is safer, quicker, and more effective than traditional treatments and explores both seminal diseases and STIs, providing thoughtful commentary alongside presenting broader social commentary on the unfortunate prevalence of these conditions. The author's method emphasizes education and awareness, recognizing that the diseases are commonly caused by factors like sexual abuse and excessive sexual activity. This book includes a thoughtful look at the historical use of mercury and other ineffective treatments for STIs and seminal diseases, contrasting them with the author's preferred method. Utilizing modern language, the author shares practical knowledge gained from years of experience to counteract the misinformation spread by quacks and charlatans and to empower individuals to take charge of their sexual health.
