Añadir al carritoSoft cover. Condición: As New. 5th or later Edition. The third installment in C.S. Lewis "Space Trilogy", That Hideous Strength can be read by itself or as a companion to earlier installments. It's a dystopian novel in the tradition of 1984, Brave New World, and Animal Farm, but it is even more accurate. The book depicts a scientific technocracy run by elite practitioners at the highest nodes of power. It has an uncanny resemblance to the hysteria surrounding COVID-19, and given its authorship in the first half of the 20th century, this is especially notable. C.S. Lewis wrote the trilogy, of which this book is the final installment, at about the same time Tolkien was working on the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Protagonist Ransom is even modeled after Tolkien as a philologist. The book is in near perfect condition, and appears not to have been read since it was first put on shelves. It has a rare cover, and is certainly a collectible for anyone that loves C.S. Lewis, dystopian fiction, fine sci-fi, or any adjacent category. Whether as a gift, or to read, or as a display piece for a collection, this is a fine book. Finally, it is growing in popularity, and will likely appreciate in value over time.
