The author was teenager when he joined the Army in May 1950 who after basic training at Ft. Riley, he was sent to Japan and in November 1950 fought a war of retreat through the Chosin Reservoir of North Korea being one of the few survivors. The author grew up fast and soon held positions of leadership in his three tours of Korea. This is a firsthand account of the activities that Company D encountered and experienced at the Chosin Reservoir Battle by the author and his comrades in arms. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket. Signed by Author(s).

The jacket has a trace of rubbing to the edge…s, but no chips, tears or creases, crisp and bright. Now in a DJ protector. The author was a member of the famed Negro Tenth Cavalry. This account of his experiences comes from Bigelow's daily journal and appeared in serial form in 'Outing Magazine,' from April to July 1886. The publisher states that this is the first and only published book version. "With the original illustrations of Hooper, McDougall, Chapin, Hatfield and Frederic Remington." (black and white drawings).
