Auf der Grundlage der Propagatortheorie werden im Kapitel III einige grundlegende quantenelektrodynamische Prozesse wie die Elektron-Elektron- bzw. die Elektron-Positron-Streuung, Elektron-Positron-Zerstrahlung, die Compton-Streuung an Pionen und Elektronen ausführlich behandelt. Nach der Einführung in den Besetzungszahlen-Formalismus im Kapitel IV werden in den letzten zwei Abschnitten die makroskopischen quantenmechanischen Phänomene - die Suprafluidität und die Supraleitung - auf der Grundlage des Besatzungszahlen-Formalismus und unter Benutzung der Technik der kanonischen Transformationen ausführlich behandelt.
