A near fine book SIGNED by Peter Thomson on the title page with some additional associated information in pencil, a former owner's address label to the front paste-down, an attached image of Thomson entitled 'Open Royal Birkdale 1954' on the front free end paper, and similarly to the verso of the half title page entitled 'St Andrews 1988', the green cloth boards with ghosting to the front panel, slight bumping and fading to spine tips and some mild toning to the text block. In a near fine unclipped wrapper with chipping to the spine tips and knuckles of the front and rear flap folds, some pushing to the upper edge, a closed tear to the top edge of the front panel, spotting internally throughout.

A first edition, first printing published by Pelham in 1969. A very good book without inscriptions in very good unclipped wrapper with wear to the edges and spine with a closed tear to the bottom of the front panel and a thin rough patch to the rear panel. One of the rarest autobiographies of the World Cup winners to find. SIGNED on enclosed First Day Covers envelope (issued 18 August 1966) by Ray Wilson, Bobby Moore and Bobby Charlton. A lovely piece of additional ephemera.
