Robert Minturn Lockwood (1857?1920) was a pioneering optometrist, educator, and author. He taught physics and optics at the Illinois College of Ophthalmology and Otology and later practiced in New York, where he also wrote extensively for optical journals and trained future optometrists. Four series in one book: Frames and Lenses a Practical Treatise for Optometrists, The Principles of Optometry, The Trial Case and How to Use It, Subjective Tests for Difficult Cases, Transpositions.
