Hence the relative importance of improved performance in national examinations versus improved access to secondary education in Kenya is an issue of the most cost effective way of achieving this level of education. This calls for improved internal efficiency in the delivery of education that would result in a reduction of costs of education in the schools. This study set out to establish which costs have little impact on performance and therefore require reduction or removal. The results of the study indicated that the average class and school sizes were below the government¿s recommendation and that there was extra space that would increase enrollment by 31.9% if filled up. All the six independent variables were determinants of learner enrollment and accounted for 63.7% of the variability of learner enrollment. There was excess income above expenditure implying that schools collected more money than they actually needed for their operations. Hence the need to reduce fees by cutting down on unnecessary costs such as expenditure on supplementary services.

An evaluation of milk production efficiency among dairy farms in Kenya established their technical and cost efficiencies to be 83.7 and 95.6 percent, respectively. They were inefficient. The number of milking cows, amount of roughage and mineral supplements determined the amount of milk a farm produced. The costs of roughage and labour influenced the total cost of milk production. The produced milk was uncompetitive in the market. The animals were overstocked and underfed in an average two-acre farm. Keeping of smaller dairy breeds such as Jerseys and adoption of any approaches that could lower the cost of farming inputs were recommended. The on-going land sub-division policy was recommended for discontinuation.

Records of patients admitted to the unit with a diagnosis of HIV-MI comorbidity from June 2011 to June 2012 were retrieved and analysed. RESULTS: The management of psychiatric disorders was excellent for all patients. However challenges were observed in HIV management.Generally, the coordination of care between psychiatrists and other disciplines was insufficient. CONCLUSION: There is a fragmentation of care for patients with HIV-MI comorbidity. Formation of the re-sputtered surface structures of post-critical sizes lead to the changes of the average magnitudes of Pb and Te sputter yields.
