TDZ was used to induce a wide range of in vitro responses such as callogenesis, organogenesis and somatic embryogenesis. TDZ was also used to prevent leaf senescence, break bud dormancy, enhance the photosynthetic activity and break the apical dominance. Among the State soybean producing regions, the West stands out with 21% of the production. Several studies indic…ated that the El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) events influence the pluviometry in Brazil and Paraná State. The objective of this dissertation was to evaluate climatic variability and water availability on soybean yield in the West of Paraná. This work studied the historical precipitation series of the Water Institute of Paraná State from ten municipalities of the region, with daily data from 1977 to 2015. The effects of ENSO during El Niño and La Niña phases on the interannual rainfall variation, and PDO on the precipitation decadal cycles were assessed in the region. Soybean yield and microclimate analyses were based on a field experiment conducted in the municipality of Guaíra from 2010 to 2014, with an automatic meteorological station installed at the center of the experimental area. The results showed dry spells risks could reach up to 20% in November, whereas October and December presented the lowest risks. 60 pp. Englisch.

In this background, economic activities were heavily affected hence intra-regional trade shares of affected coun…tries. Given this, the study seeks to investigate the effect of the Ebola Virus on affected countries' shares to intra-regional trade. Additionally, the study seeks to investigate the impact of ECOWAS membership on trade in West Africa. The Poison Pseudo Maximum Likelihood (PPML) was used to estimate the augmented gravity model of international trade. The results showed that the Ebola Virus Disease reduced the share of affected countries' trade to intra-regional partners by two folds. Also, the study showed that ECOWAS membership doubles the level of trade. The study concludes that the ECOWAS should be proactive in their response to disease outbreak by investing in research. Additionally, the study shows that Mauritania will benefit from opting for the ECOWAS. 52 pp. Englisch.

The starting point of my…studies was the critical use of some statistical data with defined empirical teleology: (a) statistics, reviews and use of the World Energy Outlook 2019 to see the trends of gas consumption in the CEE region in previous years; (b) Gazprom export trends to check the export volumes of Gazprom in the CEE region and (c) the Energy Strategy and Energy and Climate Plan of Hungary. My goal was to examine how the role of Russian gas can change in the future, regarding the new diversification opportunities and what are the other resources that can replace it in the short and middle term future in gas supply of the CEE region, mainly in Hungary. This is why I examined how LNG and natural gas from Romania can change Gazprom's market power in the CEE region. At the end I have made certain comparative outlooks, and compared my opinion with two wellknown gas market expert's in the frame of two interviews to confirm or reject my position reached during the researches. 80 pp. Englisch.

Among the State soybean producing regions, the West stands out with 21% of the production. Several studies indicated… that the El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) events influence the pluviometry in Brazil and Paraná State. The objective of this dissertation was to evaluate climatic variability and water availability on soybean yield in the West of Paraná. This work studied the historical precipitation series of the Water Institute of Paraná State from ten municipalities of the region, with daily data from 1977 to 2015. The effects of ENSO during El Niño and La Niña phases on the interannual rainfall variation, and PDO on the precipitation decadal cycles were assessed in the region. Soybean yield and microclimate analyses were based on a field experiment conducted in the municipality of Guaíra from 2010 to 2014, with an automatic meteorological station installed at the center of the experimental area. Also, the study investigates whether adopting a common currency will have a trade creation or trade diversion effect. The study further estimates the trade potential of the ECOWAS sub-region. The study deployed the Poisson Pseudo Maximum Likelihood (PPML) which is the most consistent estimator of the gravity model of trade and addresses issues about panel data. The study showed that adopting a common currency will ensure trade hence economic growth by eliminating exchange rate volatility among member-states. My goal was to examine how the role of Russian gas can change in the future, regarding the new diversification opportunities and what are the other resources that can replace it in the short and middle term future in gas supply of the CEE region, mainly in Hungary. This is why I examined how LNG and natural gas from Romania can change Gazprom's market power in the CEE region.
