This is a very scarce and handsome set, a Limited Numbered Deluxe Edition, signed by Ronnie Wood, acclaimed artist and former member of the Rolling Stones rock group, on the limitation page and numbered 2448 out of 2500 Limited Edition copies. Don't be put off by the number; usually Genesis Deluxe editions are of 300 or 350 in number and are numbered at the beginning of the edition, from 1-350, for example. However, this Deluxe edition is the exception. Parrish Books contacted Genesis Publications and here is David Williams' gracious explanation: "Wood On Canvas" originally was just going to be one edition of 2500 books in total. At the last minute, the author asked the publisher to make up 100 Deluxe copies which he agreed to do, using the last 100 copy numbers in the edition [with] Full leather binding, slightly different slipcase and an additional gold copy of the CD. The prints were supplied by Ronnie Wood from a collection that he was selling separately. The Roman numeral for number 48 corresponds to the last 2 digits of the books copy number." Parrish Books thanks Genesis for their explanation of the mystery. As promised, the book is bound in fine full black leather with orange titling, enclosed in a matching black slipcase. To complete the package as Mr. Williams mentioned, the set includes two copies of the CD -- one with the regular disk label, and a second gold CD with the following on the label: "Gold Edition CD - limited to 100 copies only." Also present is a Christmas card from Genesis Publications signed by founder Brian Roylance, plus early flyer of forthcoming publications including an Elton John book and a Duane Eddy set which never went into production. Boxes lightly handled, contents fine. The 'Songs' contained within are illustrated by talented New Zealand botanical artist Keith West, who impressed Harrison with his wealth of fantastical imagery. Folio, pp.306 STRICTLY LIMITED; No 21 of 350 numbered copies, not to be confused with the 'Collector' edition which was numbered up to 2500. Deluxe copies were bound in half-terracotta goatskin over padded cloth sides with rose gold edges, housed in a silk-screen printed clamshell box. Inside a pocket in the box is four laminated back-stage passes and an original concert programme from the Royal Albert Hall, November 29th 2002. The 28-page commemorative booklet is printed on art paper, bound in an embossed cover and fastened with an orange silk ribbon. A loose printed envelope contains a poster with facsimile signatures of many of the musicians involved, and two hand-signed prints by Jill Furmanovsky and Richard Young. Fine/as new. The loose envelope has the usual minor crinkling from being oversized. Enclosed in a complex clamshell box bound in full leather, with a lift-up cover for the 7" 45 RPM record featuring "How Can It Be" on the A-side, the B-side is a new recording of the same song specially made for this set. Ronnie Wood created the artwork on the record in the cubist style. The leather diary fits into a custom slot in the clamshell with a satin lift-up ribbon. The clamshell fits in a blue cloth bag with gold ties, with gold titling. The Deluxe print is numbered with the number of the book and signed by Ronnie Wood. I, Me, Mine was The Beatles' lead guitarist George Harrison's musical memoir, originally published in 1980 as a hand-bound, limited edition book by Genesis Publications. Opening with a foreword by Derek Taylor, it was profusely illustrated throughout with vintage photographs and color facsimiles of Harrison's autograph song lyrics, and issued in a variety of different leather bindings, including light and dark brown, light and dark green, black, and a small variety of 23 other colors (this copy is bound in black, and additionally holds a typed mimeograph letter from the publisher). Perhaps unsurprisingly, the 2,000 signed copies quickly sold out. John Lennon - who would be murdered in December 1980 just a few months after the book's release - took offense with Harrison's text, stating, "I was hurt by it . By glaring omission in the book, my influence on his life is absolutely zilch and nil . I'm not in the book." (He was, in fact, mentioned several times.) Harrison later responded to Lennon's comments in a December 1987 television interview, noting "[Lennon] was annoyed 'cause I didn't say that he'd written one line of this song 'Taxman.' But I also didn't say how I wrote two lines of 'Come Together' or three lines of 'Eleanor Rigby,' you know? I wasn't getting into any of that. Bound in publisher's black morocco, spine lettered in gilt, housed in black cloth clamshell box with compartment containing compact disc with exclusive music in a black velvet tray. Fine in a Near Fine box with slight bump to top corner of front cover, disc as new with no visible wear. An excellent copy of an illustrated presentation of the Quiet Beatle's solo work. The colorfully illustrated second volume contains 59 songs by George Harrison, including such classics as 'My Sweet Lord', 'Something' and 'All Things Must Pass'. Signed.…
