Condición: Good. Letterpress on Japanese Paper with deckled edge, Folded Sheet, 5.25" x 7" 4 pp., Illustrated, Signed by Hayden Carruth. Very Good+. From Babcock & Koontz.Provenance: Herb Yellin (1935-2014) was the highly respected publisher and founder of Lord John Press, considered by many to be one of the most important small presses of the 20th century. His close personal relationships with many significant writers resulted in an impressive number of unique, collectible, signed limited edition books. Working with some of modern literature's biggest names?Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, John Updike, Eudora Welty, and Joyce Carol Oates among them?and entertaining his personal fascination with Hollywood, Yellin was able to create a new realm for Lord John Press combining the two fields; several books, including The Lord John Film Festival, were the result.

Hardcover. Condición: Very Good Plus. First Edition. Narrow 4to. Attached sheets printed on one side only and pasted into boards, the whole folding out accordion-style, with 7 printed panels, the upper board with the cover illustration affixed. One of 100 numbered copies, rare thus, produced primarily by interns working at Chax Press. About half of the edition was finished and bound for the author's 11 April 1998 reading at the Mat Bevel Institute in Tucson, with the remainder of the edition finished and bound shortly after. In the second half of the run, as here (this being copy number 50), the boards are uncovered (apart from the cover illustration), as was felt to be appropriate, whereas it seems that the inital plan was to have paper pasted onto them beneath the illustration. (Some copies have an erratum slip concerning this.) A small amount of light scuffing to the edges of the boards, the upper corner of which has a trivial bump, minor mark to the front pastedown (which is blank anyway), but Very Good indeed, clean and generally crisp. Although not called for, this copy has been signed by Davis. Signed by Author(s).
