The planning phase lasted for 9 years. The creation of the park involved the use of temporary on-site field rehearsals with the designer and members of a local project team. The demand for the recycling and reuse of materials has increased significantly. When alternative solutions are being developed, a better understanding of the thermodynamic behaviour of aqueous systems is needed. In the present study a thermodynamic model of the FeSO4-H2SO4-H20, NiS04-H2S04-H20, and MnS04-H2O systems has been developed, in order to yield a thermodynamically consistent set of values for the solubility of metal sulfate over a wide range of temperatures and concentrations. The Pitzer mean activity coefficient model has been used in the assessment to take into account the non-ideal behaviour of the aqueous solution, These metal sulfate solutions have previously been modelled in the literature, Those models have been reviewed critically in this work.

Diffusion is a fundamental irreversible transport process and often the rate determining step in many industrial and natural processes. The backbone of diffusion is the precise measurement of diffusion coefficients. Still, experimental diffusion coefficients are often lacking. There was a need for tracer diffusion measurement data in ternary system to test the theoretical Onsager limiting law and also need for diffusion coefficients in porous media to be used in a simulation program to predict moisture and salt concentration profiles under different environmental conditions. The diffusion coefficients of common salts were measured in porous fired bricks as a function of concentration and temperature with the numerical computer simulation and data analysis. A mathematical model was presented. The Diaphragm Cell and the Closed Capillary methods developed in this thesis are both excellent techniques for the diffusion coefficient measurements in porous materials, The Onsager limiting law was verified for the first time for a 2:1 electrolyte.

A need for a simple thermodynamic model is obvious. The thermodynamic properties of aqueous sulfuric acid were modelled with the Pitzer equation. Both the second dissociation constant K2 for sulfuric acid and Pitzer parameters were fitted simultaneously. After variation of the experimental data used and the temperature dependency of the Pitzer parameters, it was found that only four parameters with eight terms can describe the thermodynamic properties of aqueous sulfuric acid over a temperature range of 0-170°C. The thermodynamic properties obtained are in good agreement with literature values as well as with other Pitzer based thermo- dynamic models for aqueous sulfuric acid. The recent version of Pitzer equation, NPL Pitzer, was also tested, It was found to accurately predict activity and osmotic.

Therefore, the designer needs to pay particular attention when planning, writing and implementing instructions for a child. In this masters thesis the focus is on researching and designing a user interface instructions, including help and tutorial elements, for facilitating the childs playing experience. Kinetic Kid means a child moving a lot. I showcase how children can control a storybook application called The Sharp-Eyed Little Red Riding Hood with their own body movements. The child can become the character of the story and help solving tasks using a gesture to look forward. The animated and interactive story is 15-minute-long played using the Kinect motion sensor. The literature analysis consists of two parts: childrens abilities and motion games. The first part discusses Child-Computer Interaction, developmental stages and intrinsic properties of a child. The second part focusing on motion games includes a short analysis of user interface conventions in Microsoft Kinect games. In addition it explores the influence of motion games on the future development of motion-based applications. I also conducted interviews with kindergarten teachers to gather their professional opinions on how to instruct children to move and follow guidelines. I used their answers and observations to improve the user interface and develop the game further.
