Library name hole-punched into title page of Volume 2. Two folding plates, one per volume. Plates have very slight foxing and toning. Plate of volume on…e has one small tear less than 1 inch. Plates are otherwise undamaged. No Maps. Original covers in leather, heavy wear and red rot to edges. Some smudging to covers. Gilt border around edges is worn but still fairly bright. Volume one spine and rear top corner taped to keep covers attached, no original spine showing. Front hinge of volume one split and text block is only attached at rear hinge, text block split near center. Volume two original spine visible, heavily worn and cracked, some red rot. Volume two front cover loose, text block split into several parts, rear cover is attached but loosening. Both volumes have toning and smudging to text block edges and end papers. Pencil writing on front end papers of volume one. All books are individually inspected and described. Never X-Library unless specifically described as such.
