Both are the paperback original first edition: Avon Books #S298, with "First Avon Printing, August, 1967" and no other statement of edition or printing on the copyright page. The collectible copy is unread, in near fine condition, marred only by a blue line across top of the text block (possibly a remainder mark), and very light bumps on top left, top right, and bottom left corners. Binding is tight and square, with no reading creases in the spine or hinges. Covers are bright, unmarked and otherwise unworn. Pages are unmarked and unworn, with unfaded publisher's red stain around edges of the text block. The reading copy is in good condition: binding is sound, pages are unmarked and unworn. As with all Space Age Book purchases, I will ship these books in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure they reach their proud new owner in the same condition as my description. Bibliographic note: versions of this edition were printed both in the USA and Canada, with no precedence between the two versions. Both of these copies have "Printed in the U.S.A." on their copyright page.
