hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. Jacket is creased and tattered, rubbed, binding sound, internally clean. Canal Country by Emily Williams (1982) is a richly illustrated regional history that traces the route of the Chenango Canal through nearly 100 miles of upstate New York, from Utica to B…inghamton. With photography by Helen Cardamone and a foreword by historian David M. Ellis, the book blends architectural and local history, capturing the charm and heritage of canal-era towns and landscapes. It serves as both a visual travelogue and a tribute to the cultural legacy of New York?s canal system.

Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Good. 1st Edition. UTICA TO SACKETS HARBOR STAGECOACH COUNTRY WILLIAMS & CARDAMONE 1976 DJ SIGNED. Quoting from the flap of the dust jacket: A journey through the pages of Stagecoach Country is a trip back to the early 19th century along a road amply endowed with house… of magnificent workmanship and enduring beauty. The road is the old stagecoach route from Utica to Sackets Harbor. Most of it was laid out by 1804, and the stagecoaches ran on this route from about 1812 until the railroads appeared in the 1850s. Today the route is a principal thoroughfare from the Mohawk Valley to Lake Ontario, and motorists may glimpse the same handsome buildings which the bonneted and top-hatted travelers viewed from their stagecoach windows. I am pleased to be able to offer you: Stagecoach Country Utica to Sackets Harbor, text by Emily Williams and photography by Helen Cardamone. The book opens with a Foreword by David M. Ellis, the New York State Historian who was chairman of the History Department at Hamilton College. This large hard cover book (9 ¼ x 12 ¼ inches, 122 pages) was published by the Author and the Artist, copyright 1976 and I believe a First Edition as no other editions found. It is flat signed by the both of them on the front endpaper. The book is bound in sky blue cloth with a gilt title on the spine; it is protected by a pictorial dust jacket. Condition: This book is in very good condition. There has been some fading or sunning to the dust jacket, particularly on the spine and it is lightly soiled and showing some very minimal edge wear. The hard covers on the other hand are immaculate, clean and bright and unbumped. Inside, the only mark I found are the signatures on the front endpaper; the interior pages and photos are clean and bright, from cover to cover. Both hinges are fully intact and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder. My apologies for the glare on some of the photos, very hard to avoid with the high gloss fine paper on which this book is printed.

Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. 1st Edition. CANAL COUNTRY UTICA TO BINGHAMTON BY WILLIAMS & CARDAMONE 1982 1ST EDITION. I am pleased to offer Canal Country Utica to Binghamton with text by Emily Williams and photography by Helen Cardamone. This book (quoting from the flap of the dust jack…et) follows the route of the Chenango Canal through a delightful and historic swathe of nearly 100 miles from Utica to Binghamton. The superb photographs show the beautiful houses, churches, taverns, colleges near the canal s path. This large and handsome hardcover book (9 ¼ x 12 ¼ inches, 116 pages) was apparently self-published by the Author/Photographer dated 1982 and is the First Edition so stated. It includes a Foreword by the eminent New York State Historian David M. Ellis and is lavishly illustrated with enchanting b&w photos on almost every page. The book is bound in Kelly green cloth with gilt titles on the spine and protected by a pictorial dust jacket. Condition: This book is in very good condition. There has been some edge wear including wrinkles and minor tears to the price-clipped dust jacket. The hard covers are clean and bright and barely bumped. Inside there is a gift inscription on the front endpaper and some faint and sparse foxing. Otherwise, the interior pages are clean and bright throughout without toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
