First Edition. no date stated, presumed 1st edition, children's pop-up book from 19th century, printed in Bavaria with number 633, measures 14" by 10 3/4", 3 dimensional full-page coloured illustrations pop up as pages are opened, cover is beautifully illustrated but scratched and soiled wi…th age, back and corners are chipped, top front spine has 2" tear, repairs have been made to some pages and inside back hinge using archival tape, gift inscriptions inside cover, owner's name on ffep, pages foxed, a few child's pencil marks and colouring of some black and white illustrations, some losses to the pop-ups including the giant and a fairy, overall fair to good condition consdering this is a very old chilren's book. This book was featured on an episode of the British Antiques Roadshow.
