The railroad was jointly owned by the Great Northern Railway and the Northern Pacific Railway. This volume tells the story of the main line from Portland to Spokane, with a separate chapter for each segment, Portland-Vancouver; Vancouver-Wishram; Wishram-Pasco; Pasco-Spokane. Of particular interest are the 3 Howard Fogg paintings.
