Das Motto in der schön gestochenen Druckermarke ist ein Horaz-Zitat und lautet: "Quidquid Sub Terra Est, In Apricum Proferet Aetas." (Alles, was unter der Erde ist, wird die Zeit ans Sonnenlicht bringen.) Mit dem handschriftlichen Verweis auf zwei gelehrte, eigentlich naturwissenschaftlich interessierte Adelige, "Di Luigi, e Giulio Conventati, / olim/" aus Macerata bei Ancona.
