His victims are Thumper the Rabbit, Climber the Squirrel, Squealer the Mouse, Cheeper the Chipmunk, and Climber the Squirrel. Bomps, who apparently is a grandfather (Tyner?), introduces the book with a poem to Freddie and Toby on childhood. Bomps is mentioned again in the story.
