Condición: Good. A rare copy of Larcher's translation from the French translation of Herodotus. Marbled paper and tan boards with raised bands to spine and blind stamped decoration. Black title labels, Volume I is missing the number label and Volume II's label has small loss. There is loss to the top spine of Vol ! Both volumes have wear to edges and the marbled paper is worn. Internally there is foxing to the first and last pages. Hinges are beginning to crack. Marbled page edges. Rippling especially to Vol II. Previous owner's book plate on feps.
