It won 4 Oscars; Best Sound, Best Film Editing, Best Sound Effects, and Best Music - Original Score (Bill Conti). It also received 4 other nominations; Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Shepard), Best Cinematography, and Best Art Direction / Set Decoration.
