This is an eleventh printing of the 1952 first edition of Spencer Tinker's classic PACIFIC SEA SHELLS. Unfortunately it has lost its dust jacket but both the outside and the inside of the book are in very good and unmarked condition with only some very slight tanning of the pages. Spencer Tinker's own preface to this seminal work conveys that he volume "was prepared to serve as a handbook for amateur shell collectors in Pacific Ocean shells" and to help with the identification of the larger and more common Pacific species. The many photographic plates are black and white.
