Créée à Lyon en juillet 1941 par deux camarades de lycée, l?éditeur et imprimeur Marc Barbezat et le philosophe Marc Beigbeder, Confluences offre un très large panorama de littératures française et étrangère. «Je ne crois pas qu?il existe à l?heure actuelle une revue qui fasse aux jeunes une place plus large, qui nous ait révélé plus de noms nouveaux», écrivait un rédacteur des Cahiers du Sud en 1944. Confluences comptera 58 numéros jusqu?en 1947. La mention de nouvelle série était un stratagème imaginé par les directeurs pour faire croire à l?administration de Vichy que la revue paraissait avant-guerre. Nos 19 volumes sont tous en excellent état sans rien à signaler qui soit digne de mention. Les cuir sont sans usure et ont gardé leur souplesse. Les intérieurs sont sans reproche. Ne trouvant que peu de référence à cette collection je ne sais pas si elle est complète bien que 19 vol. semble un chiffre improbable. Une très belle collection peu courante et en excellent état. ATTENTION : vente au Canada ou USA seulement car les frais d'envoi à l'international seront trop importants (ceux annoncés par Abebooks sont loin du compte).
