The very nature of writing for art stems from the desire to connect with another's soul somewhere out there. To know that there are others who share our loneliness for we are most obviously shells when we are in the midst of the herd. But as animals who desire love and attention, friends and family, we establish these through the hermetic spirit of the writer. These pages are wrought with faded memories, colored with the nostalgic eye of the mind; fused with human spirit and the need to commune with the lost and the losing; the attempt to hold on to ourselves through art; the exposure to the dueling attitudes of the natural world: harmony and wilderness; and finally, the realization of beauty and transcendence that emerges in our everyday world and reaches its golden fingers into ourselves.
