After the pair divorced, he married Colette, who in turn had a scandalous affair with Claire and Henry's son, Bertrand. Claire was a political lobbyist who worked for Czechoslovakian independence, but found relaxation in writing several books of maxims and fairy tales. Two of her books have prefaces by Anatole France, and another by Paul Valery.
