Condición: Good. No Edition Remarks. 234 pages. Illustrated dust jacket over yellow cloth. Light foxing and noticeable tanning to pages. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Light cracking and creasing to gutters and hinges but binding remains firm. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has minor tanning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Clipped dust jacket with minor rubbing, chipping and tearing to edges. Moderate tanning and scuffing overall.

Original jacket has been re-covered in clear, soft plastic as it was beginning to be a bit tattered around the edges. Previous owner's inscription inside.

Light foxing to the endpapers and the edges of the text block, short ownership inscription; overall, the book is in good to very good condition. The dustwrapper is in good plus condition (some rubbing, some chafing of the edges). The dustwrapper has now been put in a mylar cover to protect it.

HARDCOVER. nd (c1946). A very good copy with light age tanning to the edges of the text block and a previous owners name to the front free endpaper. The tips of the spine ends are lightly sunfaded. The d/w is good with repaired edge wear and light soiling.

Interior is clean and unmarked aside from the odd finger smudge. Red cloth boards are sharp and square. Sharp black ink titles to spine and front board. The dustjacket is chipped and rubbed with a number of short tears to extremities. Some staining to the rear panel and one tiny word written in ink on the front panel. Now protected in archival brodart jacket. A stirring retelling of one of the earliest explorers to cross North America above Mexico. This one is, "For Older boys and girls", so buckle up. Scarce in jacket.
