Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Near Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Not a book but also NOT a 33-1/3 rpm vinyl LP. Rather, this is a stereo extended play Laser Videodisc 2 Disc Set, a pre-DVD 1980s video technology playable only on a special video-disc player. MGM/UA Home Video ML 100168, two heavy mint 12-inch discs in a near-mint cardboard jacket which has been opened but still wears its original shrink-wrap. 1970 film re-released 1984 in this 12-inch videodisc format. "They set out to rob a bank . . .and damn near won a war instead!" Screenplay by Troy Kennedy Martin; directed by Brian G. Hutton. Eastwood's deadpan humor needs no elaboration here, but the daring of allowing Donald Sutherland to play Sergeant Oddball as a transcendental hippie 20 years before his time -- confusing the enemy by blaring Country music at them full volume while he attacks -- remains a marvel. The theme song -- the equally anachronistic "Burning Bridges," sung by the Mike Curb Congregation, music by Lalo Schifrin -- reached No. 34 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart as of March 6, 1971. 143 minutes (which means this is the whole film, not the trimmed-down 90-odd minutes they're likely to squeeze into a two-hour window on commercial television.) But it's 12-inch VIDEO DISC, not a DVD,

Añadir al carritoMass Market. Condición: Very Good. Firest Edition Stated. 168 Pages. First Edition released June 1977. A book with the appearance of never having been read. There is a light red stamp on the top and bottom page edges and also at the top of the front endpaper. Store stamp inside the back cover. Could this be a rare mass market paperback remainder mark? In June 1974, Drs. F. Sherwood Rowland and Mario Molina of the University of California startled the scientific world with their finding that fluorocarbon gases used in aerosol spray cans are seriously damaging the Earth's protective ozone layer. Thus, potentially dangerous amounts of ultraviolet rays are reaching the surface of our planet, adversely affecting all living things. This book dramatizes what could happen in the near future it we continue to do nothing to stop this damage to Nature's protective shield for life on this planet. The story begins with what might happen when man's chemical blundering destroyed the ozone layer in our atmosphere. But in the hills and mountains of the world the effects were already clear. The animals had turned angry and vicious. High in the thin air of the Sierras, a small group of men and women were caught in a struggle that at the same moment was being waged around the world, cut off without weapons, alone against the razoring claw, the piercing beak, the crushing fang of the bird and beast they were fighting for their lives and losing. The Film Ventures International movie tie-in version was released May 13, 1977 starring Christopher George and Leslie Nielsen and directed by William Girdler.

Añadir al carritoBradbound sheets. Condición: Near Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: No Dust Jacket. Unproduced script copied by stenographic department January 30, 1956. No author denoted or studio. Likely Columbia Pictures which produced the 1938 film directed by George Cukor starring Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn. A casual reading of the text reveals much, if not all, the script as written by Donald Ogden Stewart, for which he was awarded an Oscar. The one distinct difference being the character's names have been changed. Near fine in brad-bound powder blue card covers. (Title inked on spine. Hint of light shelf use. ) Originally written by Philip Barry as a play under the title "Holiday." . First filmed in 1930 under that title, then again most famously in 1938. There were alternate titles floated as "Unconventional Linda" and "Vacation Bound." A notably curious outlier. ; 8 3/4" x 11"; 151 pages.
