Paterson, as well as a frontispiece. In the original publisher's gilt tooled cloth binding. Externally very smart with only minor shelf wear and some bumping and chipping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The front board is slightly marked, and the rear board has a minor faint damp marking. Internally, the hinges are slightly loose to the first page, otherwise generally firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with only the odd minor spot to the odd leaf. Illustrated with a frontispiece and other illustrations in text by John MacWhirter, engraved by R. Paterson. Very Good.
