First Edition, Thus. 485 pages, plus 14 colored plates, mostly after J. Keulemans. Red leather over spine and corners, with textured red cloth over boards. Raised spine bands creating six compartments. Gilt stamped lettering on spine. It appears that a library label has been removed from the spine leaving the leather faded and rubbed. There is also wear on the front paste down where a library plate appears to have been removed. No other library markings are noted. The margin at the bottom of page 101/102 has been trimmed. Moisture stains are seen along the lower edges affecting the covers, as well as the first and last few leaves. There is also a little foxing scattered through the first several leaves and affecting the first plate. Volume remains tight and is otherwise clean and intact.
