A selection of 75 master drawings, held in private collections and not usually available for study. Ranging from the 15th to the 18th Century, the book includes work by Ghirlandaio, Fra Bartolommeo, Bassano, Bronzino, Parmigianino, Tintoretto, Van Dyck, Canaletto, Tiepolo, Boucher, Fragonard and Gainsborough. With an index and a catalogue description of each drawing. 92 pages, 10 3/4 x 8 3/4". A few small marginal smudges on the front end page and first three pages of text, o/w boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square. The dustjacket shows some soiling and wear including a half dozen tears of less than a half inch along the top edge of the dj, as well as minor chipping at the top of the spine; and a single small tear on the bottom edge of the front panel, nothing significant or interfering with any printed or pictorial material. The dj is not price-clipped.
