Born visually impaired, Jake chooses to look upon his handicap as another challenge to be met, but not one that will slow him down. Having been published in both the United States and in Europe, his writing is included in Reflections of Light, The National Library of Poetry, 1994; the Austin American-Statesman, 1993; Glimpses, Aukamm School Edition, 1990-91; Sparks, European Edition, 1989.
