Only flaws are hint of white tips at corners and faded spine (Gold to light greenish-grey and marbling diminished but distinguishable as such; all lettering in diminished maroon still sharp, distinct, eminently readable): NOW in Brodart mylar for added protection and aesthetic appeal. Book itself looks UNREAD, only opened for signing by Editor, Rollin van Nostrand Hadley, with warm inscription to named recipients, followed by "Bump" [as he was known to his friends, according to a NYTimes article on 2 1 1979] and "Fenway Court" [at Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, where he was for several years the Museum Director], "19 Nov 1987".
